Excerpt from Chapter Nine:
Witnessing for Jesus is a completely different model of success than the worldly view of success, because it isn’t measured by how many folks we convert to Christianity, or how eloquently we tell our story. Once we’ve proclaimed the good news of the gospel, God takes it from there and changes the hearts of those who want to be changed.
Many people during Jesus’ time on earth didn’t believe in him, even though they witnessed his miracles. Some spent their entire lives rejecting Jesus, while others believed in him, but refused to admit it. Regardless, our main concern is to fulfill our mission, despite what people do or don’t believe.
We can share our story over a cup of coffee with a friend. We might mentor a teenager, help a neighbor in need, show patience at the grocery store, or while driving. We don’t need to say anything to be the hands and feet of Jesus. In everyday life, there are countless opportunities to share our faith.
I invite you to journey with me, as we discover together
how to live beautifully in a broken world.
